UWCAPS - University of the Western Cape Association of Pharmacy Students
Mandate
The University of the Western Cape is the only university in the Western Cape that offers a qualification in pharmacy ranging from a bachelor's to a master's degree.
Pharmacists are responsible for playing meaningful roles in the healthcare of the people they serve. They do this by emphasizing the rational use of medicines and related products. There is an acute shortage of, subsequently, a great need for pharmacists in South Africa. A BPharm qualification can lead to various opportunities globally.
UWCAPS is the official student body for UWC pharmacy students. UWCAPS is involved in everything from charity drives to drug information programs and social gatherings such as sports days and breaks. We also act as a bridge between the students and the department. UWCAPS has a rich history extending over many years.
UWCAPS, Compounding the Future since 1968.
